The Smiling Pony
Outside of the sort of people that never forget a grudge, most of the furry fandom wouldn’t know or remember there ever was “beef”.
For context to those unaware, in the fandom’s first 1-2 years, some furries on FA (and I guess elsewhere) got mad that a lot of their favourite artists started doing loads of MLP art, and their feeds got filled with MLP stuff instead of “pure furry” content. On the other side, a lot of “bronies”, mostly on ponibooru, were furious that furries were drawing MLP art, because that meant there’d be porn and “weird fetishes” generally associated with furry art.
Plus there was the whole 4chan thing about hating furries as part of their core identity, which was at odds with how MLP is basically furry bait; self doubt and loathing leads to projecting really damn hard.
All in all it was a really dumb bit of completely artificial drama pushed by a dozens or so actual people on “both sides” for the sake of either their entertainment, or to fill in the gaping void where their souls should have been.

Dear Mods, how much beef does the General Furry Fandom still have with us?
