King Sombra & The Crystal Empire 10th Anniversary Art Event

Tfw Sombra is one of your favourite villains but when the time comes to draw him you have no idea what to draw.

Dang, another badge I can’t get…

How strict is the originality in this event? If I just trace a screencap of Sombra from S3E02 and tag it with the crystal empire 10th anniversary, does it count? Or if I “crystallize” something I’ve vectored previously, is that okay?

I’m at a creative dead end and completely exhausted, so I’m afraid the best I can do this time is a minimum-effort job (as if my previos submissions have been any better). Or not participate.

Well, guess it’s time to dust off Scorching Opal. Maybe even give her a slight design update, it’s been 6 years after all…

Not a character I have drawn much in the past. Just didn’t grab my attention much.

So we had MLP’s 12th anniversary, SOmbra’s 10th anniversary, and (im assuming) the annual Derpibooru community collab after this too

This is the second 10th year anniversary of an important G4 episode we’ve ever held an art event in. So now were doing this on every episodes turning 10, huh. Then I cannot wait for Magical Mistery Cure, Twilight’s Kingdom, and Slice of Life.

What a brilliant idea since were only used to doing 3 events each year.

A Magical Mystery Cure art event would result lots of teeth gnashing (“eww, wings”), as would an event for the first Equestria Girls movie (“Flash sucks”). (The badges for those events would be, of course, a pair of wings and Flash Sentry.)

But A Slice of Life anniversary event, with a hoers mask badge, that would be something.

I drew baby Sombra from the Fiendship comic.

I will probably at least try this time instead of saying i will but not actually doing anything

I don’t know if we’re gonna do that many art events, but I’m open to more like this overall.

I would personally enjoy an EQG event but I don’t think it’s popular enough overall.

With tomorrow being remembrance day, I decided to draw a lil poppy on my Sombra! ^^

Oooh now this has my creative blood flowing. I’ll have to post something soon :D
