So Disastral’s creator has completely moved on from ponies, and turned the Hagwarders into humans, apparently due to the fact that ponies are copyrighted by Hasbro on a seemingly conceptual level. I can’t find a source to back up Napsack’s claim, though (and he was last active over a year ago) and there’s Filly, Melowy and Wild Manes, to dispute the idea that pastel equines can be copyrighted, unless Hasbro actually keeps a tight grip on them to keep the image of ponies to a strict standard…
EDIT: It seems Disastral and Waxworks are different people. My mistake. Though both seem to have moved on from ponies nonetheless.

This is actually a problem with the Copy-Right system currently. You can’t claim mere pastel horses as a trade mark. Atleast under American copy-right laws.
Another somewhat related issue is the Deadmus and Dysney lawsuit. Via the mouse ears and Mickey Mouse.
