Im doing a drawn collab where in an image i have a group of ponies of different people, is this allowed? In which size i need to do the canvas?

 
Took a break from my month long “Draw Queen Novo Almost Everyday” thing to make my entry. Does it fit the criteria or no? If not I’ll think of something else.

Considering there were 270 or so ponies in the first collab total, having 66 in all 4 is definitely not bad at all also proud to say my oc is one of the 66

My Dawnsong has not only been in all five of them now, but she’s been the first pony submitted to all five of them too ;)

Group pictures of multiple ponies is allowed, so long as they’re all proportionally the same size and not spread out too far apart. Also you’re limited to two OCs per person. So if you have five OCs, you can’t submit all of them.

what if the image have the watermark but on the side and not obstruct the image, is it still count?

Obtrusive watermarks spoils the image.  
The images should be protected, but not at such a price. It makes the watermark look pointless.

I Watermarked mine but only on the inner leg, not bc I want to go against the rules but because I had to publicly post it and I do not wish or want my art to be stolen and traced as this happens too often…and it has to me in the past, usually I do put creation dates/copyright dates on them but I stopped doing it as it does ruin the image- I would happily email or directly message them a copy without the water mark but idk how or where I can do that as it is not a option…

If the water mark or signature or image itself is manageable enough, you can ask an artist to edit it out and reupload it to the site for use within the collab.
 
I did this on a couple images over the years so I know it can be doable.

I’d say any watermark is bad. Even though you can imagine an image without a watermark, it’s still bad.  
Watermarks lowers image quality.

My art has always been too distinct to easily copy, and with the effort it requires to fake my art, artist could easily make much better things.

I agree, watermarks can’t stop tracing and won’t stop someone seriously stupid enough from stealing. If an artist has a unique style that’s worthy of being stolen, people will recognize it for what it is.
 
Posting an image somewhere else isn’t stealing; that’s just sharing and I’ve seen people mistake the two. Everyone on the Internet knows unless you explicitly state a good piece of art as your own, it is automatically assumed you shared it from somewhere else.
 
Almost all of cases I’ve seen of legitimate art theft, within the community, it was overwhelmingly obvious by someone who didn’t have the mental competence to safely be on the Internet or overtly horrible and obvious tracing, neither of which is anything to be worried over.

The image must be uploaded directly to Derpibooru itself and I believe it’s pulled directly from there, where it will have image tags, which already provides stamps and proofs. But also bear in mind over a thousand other people have done this collab; if it were a serious problem, there wouldn’t be this many entries.
