I hope everyone’s fine with this, but I want to take a break from the laughs to give a very super serious warning about the dangers of Dihydrogen Monoxide, a potentially fatal chemical that is used in the manufacture of pesticides, nuclear weapons, and even illegal chemical weapons. It has found its way into most of our lakes and streams, is frequently found in high concentrations in rainwater, and it is estimated at least 80% of our children have been exposed to and even ingested it as early as age 5. Not only that but it is still widespread and legally used in vaccines, prescription medicine, and even over-the-counter medications. Millions of people have died from exposure to this chemical. Help spread the word today and demand legislation against Dihydrogen Monoxide :’(

Technically Dihydrogen Oxide, Hydrogen Oxide, Hydrogen Hydroxide (alkali naming convention) and Hydric/Hydroxic/Hydroxyl Acid (acidic naming convention) are all correct terms for water. They’re just not used because water is such a commonplace chemical. I just love how it people use it to expose the ignorance of people who fall for fear-mongering chemical scares :D
