I think handful would still be correct in that sentence, since handful refers to both physical state of being in reference to quantity, as in, “I have a handful of stones” as well as non physical things, “I tossed around a handful of ideas”

You might have to word it differently as in, “my hand was full of scratches”

Yea but a handful of scratches implies that you have scratches NOT ONLY in your hands, whereas a hand full of scratches explicitly describes a hand with scratches.
 
A handful of ideas means you have a bunch of ideas, could be in your mind or written somewhere else.
 
A hand full of ideas is…maybe you’ve written ideas on your hand or the hand is personified.
 
I’m fully aware of its grammatical use. What bothers me is the pronunciation: that they’re the same.

Spending all that money on expensive shit like that just sounds counterintuitive. Just stick with whatever old device you have until it has prolonged its use instead of disposing it like gum and buying the newest one. Except for high speed wi-fi, which is more of a commodity nowadays, I don’t see any purpose in having all that other stuff unless you brag about it on Instagram or something.

Why does everything always lead to a dead end? Why am I not supposed to get a job in a lab while I work on my degree? I’m am so tired of always being told what I can and can’t do. I’m tired of my life being up to other people. I’m trying but no matter how hard I try it seems I’m going to be stuck here forever.
 
Meanwhile I’m stuck at an awful job I absolutely hate and they don’t just want me to work there, they won’t let me leave! Why can’t it be a lab that wants me this bad? What did I do to deserve this? I’m so tired of dealing with the BS of corporate America.

Remember that internship business? The one I completed a few weeks back and thought I was done with? My professor just emailed me that he never received confirmation from my boss at the internship that I completed the required hours. This confirmation is required for the professor to let me complete the degree.
 
I’ve tried emailing my boss, texting him, calling him, even calling other people who worked there to tell him to send it… nothing.
 
I’ve had straight A’s so far, gorram it! I can’t flunk because of this!

The first day of my vacation. Some of my pals are idiots…
 
Not to mention the Internet connection sucks ass
