I love how they conveniently leave out the fact that Gawker publicly outed Thiel and then OF COURSE try to make it all about Trump.
 
Like, I can let the “Dear White People” thing slide since it’s CLEARLY satirical… This documentary is actually trying to be serious.

I am OFFICIALLY pissed, just learned that 5 days ago, CMT AND NBC REFUSE to bring back Last Man Standing. NBC was an obvious, but CMT? That’s just fucking bullshit, they better find a station by September, or I will lose it man. That show is great and it actually seems like ABC dropped it for political reasons, because the schedule change they have is for Once Upon A Time, which is gonna die quickly because of airing on Fridays.
 
It was also obvious the ABC purposely put Last Man Standing on Fridays in an attempt to kill it once they saw the right leaning politics. Except it lasted way too long so they just went and axed it.
 
Just fucking bullshit on ABC’s and CMT’s behalf. It is still possible for Fox to take the show and keep it as its own. They are the production company, and they can put it in as a Mid Season Replacement. That, or, they can cancel The Mick (Horrible show, why renew it?), And replace it with Last Man Standing.
 
What really pisses me off about it all it because it feels like the cancellation was all politically fueled. And once Last Man Standing started talking about Trump, they get axed.

IIRC, Denton actually said that he would “draw the line” at releasing a sextape featuring a child (meaning he WOULDN’T go that far)… He’s still a scumbag though.

They refused to take a video down that depicted Hogan in a sex tape. That was an invasion of privacy especially since he didn’t know about the tape. That is why he brought them to court with Thiels help.

No, see, what happened was that after Gawker shut down, most of their sites got bought by Univision. Gawker itself doesn’t exist anymore, but many of the sites they used to own still do.

Actually, a quick search brought me to just the director.  
And even then, i’ll be honest, my impression is that what he said in the article doesn’t sound that malicious. Just a bit naive. I noticed that it depended on the director’s definition of racism.  
Of course, a show as political as Dear White People is, indeed, gonna have some quips behind curtains, like the controversy i linked to. But i’ve heard some good things about the show as it is, though i haven’t watched it yet.

I am starting to think the RP section in Derpi is dying, I can’t tell. It has had slow periods before, and I have suffered through them. I am just depressed over the recent inactivity in the RP section.

Literal in the first bit of the vid The actress say “Black people can’t be racist” and “Racism is oppression base on white supremacy” which is bullshit.

I mean, come on. Those people weren’t being malicious nor overconfident in their opinion.  
It’s easy to hide behind a youtube skeptic to express your information, but actually understanding what the other has to say and why the supporters of this other support him is another thing.  

 
What the director meant here is that black people can’t be truly racist because they do not practice systematic discrimination or segregation based on favoritism towards one race.  
While i do disagree with such a slanted view of american society, i do understand the point that the director was trying to get across. Of course, the Evergreen University incident can prove him wrong, and i won’t ignore that.

I believe racism can exist in both races, but that’s because of my concept of racism beforehand – any effective bias towards one race is racism in a way.  
What i meant to say was that the director had a different definition of racism. Much like how people have different definitions for “socialism” and “democracy”.

I didn’t say I believe that’s what racism is. I said it’s what the director thinks it is.  
Other dictionaries would have different definitions for racism. That’s the problem with using a dictionary as the paramount truth.  
_{To be fair, i don’t even know why people use the dictionary as a source for defining arbitrary concepts.}
