30,000 deaths a year may be linked to air quality and air pollution in the US. The past 2 years, incidentally, have seen a noticeable rise in air pollution, reversing an earlier trend of the air quality in the US improving.
 
If that trend continues, the death toll will start to rise.
 
Air should not be deadly. You’d think if there was one thing that even idiots could agree on, it’s that we should be able to trust the air we breath.
 
But, idiots will be idiots.

Oxygen is not the problem. Or in this case, any specific gas. High levels of particulate matter are.
 
Nanoparticles mostly produced by the burning of coal, chemical plants, and urban decay.
 
They get into almost every cell in the body. It’s causing system wide damage. Increases in cancer rates, lung and heart issues, and brain damage.

It’s up to society to encourage them to.
 
Everyone can help a bit. Driving your car even 10% less often and carpooling when you can may prevent several tons of said particulate matter from entering the air each year.
 
Turning off lights and electronics when not in use can reduce power load, and lower fuel use. Plus save you some money.
 
And not buying from certain companies that are particularly bad at this can cause them to lose market share.
 
These are simple things everyone can do to help reduce air pollution, and keep our nation healthy.

I do the whole turning off lights thing already. I feel way more safe in my own truck than in a car, though.

My A/C isn’t running and the fridge is broken.

I don’t think it’s the quality of the pic. I’m pretty darn sure this is a halfway-decent anime pic. Also not offensive. Also maybe kinda cute, kinda boring.  

 
Hmm…BUT, if I was fishing for upvotes I’d throw in popular canon characters like Starlight Luna Somnambula in there, and make the red hijabi girl a lot more busty. Like, Area 51 anime tiddie busty.

That actually happened to me a few weeks ago where I was trying to open a bottle of soda so hard it cut my finger and it started to bleed.

It’s dipped in betadine solution now cus’ I seriously ain’t getting the tetanus not today nor tomorrow.
