Horribly, no. Because most of us filipinos can’t afford or too fucking lazy or preoccupied having our own earthquake kits since most disasters and calamities we’ve been very used to are floods and typhoons; first aids that most of us had is designed to relieve us from those kinds of things. (I might probably be bs’ing but I think some of us already had a moderately fair or complete quake kits thanks to the occassional scare and warnings by the government)
How we tackle tremors is by an annual nationwide simultaneous drill and simulations twice a year. Our government ain’t playing around because we’ve been anticipating the fault line closest to Manila to move within our lifetime and the deaths and damages will be catastrophic.
This fault has a movement pattern of every 400 years. The last big shake that occured here is during the year 1200s and 1600s with a strength of 7.0-7.5 magnitudes
which is 800 and 400 years ago respectively and the culprit is THAT fault line.
They’ve also just acquired these modernized quake tools and utilities last year.
