The weight loss-industry is horrible. We were covering the biological and psychological components of hunger and weight-gain, and we went over some of the current pharmaceutical options the industry is pushing…and it’s nightmarish.
 
Lorcaserin, a serotonin agonist in the vein of the now off the market fluramines. Their major side-effect is heart-attacks, strokes, and heart-failure.
 
Qsymia, a combination appetite suppressant and Topiramate a fucking anticonvulsant.
 
Contrave, a combination of Naltrexone which literally makes you stop perceiving things as pleasurable and fucking Buproprion to stop you from killing yourself from the effects of the Rexone.
 
and I’ve saved the best for last, Xenical, a drug that makes you compulsively shit yourself.
 
 
These need to be taken off the market. Their very existence is unethical.

Oh no, it’s much, much worse.
 
It blocks the uptake of fat, all fat. Meaning all that fat and grease has to go somewhere. It leads to severe incontinence, even well after you’ve stopped taking it.
 
Laxatives work for a short duration, and the effects are manageable if you take the proper dose. These, these just make you shit yourself randomly.
