Vent thread

A few weeks ago, I came up with a headcanon that’s quite the opposite of Tyrant Celestia. That she’s instead in a state of arrested development.
 
She reveres Starswirl the Bearded to such an extent that she doubts her own ability and judgement. After all, it was The Elements of Harmony, the product of Starswirl, that allowed her and Luna to defeat Discord. Ever since the beginning, fans have never been completely satisfied with the level of effort Celestia put into trying to reason with Nightmare Moon. This lead to the Tyrant Celestia headcanon. What I think actually happened was that because she believes in Starswirl the Bearded more than herself, she’d be quicker to adopt the sacrificial, defeatist attitude he showed against The Pony of Shadows and use The Elements of Harmony, rather than her own ability to reason with Luna. Remember that in The Crystal Empire, Celestia talked about the virtue of self-sacrifice. So then, without Luna or The Elements, Celestia no longer believes she can change anything.
 
Based on that, my interpretation of Celestia’s actions throughout the series is that she’s using Twilight and her friends to vicariously experiment with not relying on things related to Starswirl the Bearded. This would actually make confronting Daybreaker a major development for her character. Rather that abdicating responsibility to someone else, she is finally able to solve a problem herself.

Again, there are clear holes in the equestrian government, big holes, where there must be some sort of governors running the place.
 
You don’t see sun butt setting Tax Codes, debating bills,or anything else a government would normally do.

And yeah, you’d think there would be, but, it’s been too long to keep hoping for it.

Except that we have seen her normal entre day in “a royal problem”.
 
No tax codes, no anything. She doesn’t deal with any of the normal shit that any normal governing body of any nation would do on a daily basis.
 
The reason why we don’t see it in the show?
 
Politics are boring, and kids want to see goofy stuff.

Politicians in the show are boiled down to simple and easy topics and there jobs in show canon are
 
boiled down to “record keeper” or something simple. See:
 

 
When has she done anything to running the town seen in the show?
 
 
Nothing beacuse if the show did politics it would be like Star Wars Ep 1 and two, filled with boring talk about shit no one cares about. (trade routes)
 
 
So, what the show does is give us the idea that all the boring political shit happens off screen.

My first time riding a bike had me crash into a gate.

We’re less than 2 weeks from March, and now we get a good winter storm here in Utah!

It wasn’t that bad, and I was like 7. I’ve had worse crashes. One in particular had me scraping across the street like super rough sandpaper.
 
I lost a lot of skin that day. I even had to go to the hospital.

A friend of mine fell of his bike and hit the ground by his face. He had skull fractures and a lost tooth.
 
The others and I collected the tooth. We thought it’d make a good souvenir.
