From what I’ve seen from dealing with various reports. There’s a mixture of:  
1: “They’re stealing my artwork/claiming it as their own!”  
I’ve mostly seen this one from DeviantArt artists. And from what I hear, DeviantArt does have a large art theft issue, so I can understand the reaction of: “It’s uploaded under their name, they’re claiming credit.”  
Usually they’re fine once the learn Derpibooru doesn’t treat uploaders the same way. Other times they insist on it as theft.  
[Side note: I’ll never understand why people on DA who insist on no one reposting their artwork also leave the share links on. Those buttons designed solely to allow people to repost their artwork.]
 
2: “I only want certain images being posted.”  
This one I’ve seen being the artist not thinking the image “worth” posting on Derpibooru. [Odd to me since if someone’s uploading it, they think it’s worthy. and really, all mlp art is “worthy” to us.]  
That or that want specific themes/series to remain in one location to keep traffic going there. Like a specific ask blog’s images remaining on the ask blog.
 
3: “There was a negative comment/downvotes.”  
I believe this can be caused by either insecurity due to age, or just a personal issue with not being able to handle “failure”.  
When I was younger, I would have a similar reaction. If something I did got a negative response I’d take it as a failure and never do it again. Just completely shut myself away from it and never show my face there again.  
I’ve grown past that myself, but there’s other people who haven’t yet/may never get past it.  
And that’s not necessarily just a maturity issue. It’s also psychological. Some people just aren’t able to handle not doing something “right” and so want to rid themselves of what they consider a “failure”.
 
Lots of different reasons for artists wanting their art removed. I’ve seen the range from “I just want to control it myself.” and “I didn’t want this piece posted here.” to “I don’t think this art is good anymore, so remove it.”
 
That last one hurts the most. Please artists, don’t delete old artwork just because you don’t feel it’s as good as your newer art. People loved it then and can still love it now. And it can show your progression to others and yourself. Seeing how one grew in style/skill.

I’m really tired of ‘lel autism’ jokes. I’m not ~offended~ or ~triggered~ by them, I just find them not funny, and in most cases, not clever or creative. Autistic screeching is obviously the pinnacle of humor, right? It’s just been dragged on for so many years that I just have a kneejerk negative reaction to just people using the word ‘autism’ now, even in innocent context and I hate it. Can’t people joke about something else for once? I don’t find it funny to call things ‘autistic’ because in most cases, it’s some 4chan philosophy bullshit. But people do it anyway ans then find it strange that someone could possibly get ~offended~ by them. No matter the joke, if you run it into the ground, it’s not funny anymore.  
wow autistic screeching is such a clever and hilarious joke right?? it’s okay to make fun of autism under the guise of a joke. tee hee humor!
 
Can we convert some other mental illness into a joke now? Not because I want to, but because I’m tired of it always being autism.

That’s because we get them reported to us and then we have to deal with them, as a team, and some people think autism is funny and so it always ends up being a discussion, and then it’s deleted and you don’t see it.
 
But in the meantime we all have to deal with it.
 
So, you’re welcome, and I’m completely with @LightningBolt - it’s getting fucking old, and the people who keep making these “jokes” seem to think if they can just force this meme hard enough it’ll still ever be funny again.

It’s a fucking button sitting there right next to the rest of the “Are you sure you want to upload this so we can suck money off of it forever and not give you any?” stuff. If people don’t want to promote sharing, they should turn off the “promote sharing” thing.

Interestingly, this site is the only place thus far I’ve been called autistic. Just great how a medical condition has been turned into a common insult.
 
Then again people casually call things they don’t like cancer ignoring what a serious disease it is. (facepalm)

Your generation is, in fact, finding water on other worlds, discovering exoplanets, figured out that Dark Matter was a thing and solved Einstein’s confusion about the “Cosmic Constant”, might have discovered the Higgs particle, and are going to take us to Mars.

Good point. I’ve had a few people who had cancer or who have lost loved ones to it ask to have cancer comments deleted.

Basically being a mod here means you get to see every stupid comment people make, and a lot of them are just memery buzzwords from 4chan people. So it’s more common than you think, we just tend to delete the actually bad ones, so you’re less likely to see those ones and only the ones that were deemed acceptable or were missed.

ok there has been this old cartoon that I used to watch, and it’s really bugging me, trying to find the name of it.
 
It was all CGI. Was a more adult cartoon (I think it was PG-13?). The maib characters where a pair of stage magicians and their pet tigers/lions, and they where anthropomorphic. Setting was Las Vegas I think?

Dash was super OOC and from what I hear of the some how even worse sequel has Sun horse being even more OOC. It is massively confusing how this shit ever got to be popular in the fandom at all. ||

Fuck Google, hope their e-mail verification service gets a massive protest/boycott hashtag or some shit.
 
Entered in the last password I remember, the month and year I created it, and my old Google account, and yet the verification codes are always invalid even when I copy and paste them.
 
Even worse, that account is needed for some of my favorite sites. So basically Derpibooru and my old Google account are like those stereotypical overprotective parents who think all their little angels’ friends are bad influences.

These next few years in academia will be my last here.
 
I grow tired of the workload and stress. And the allure of a PhD does little to motivate me. I’d rather not spend even more time to make less money. I have 0 intention of working in academia, it’s just not worth the effort.
 
There are plenty of people who want to be professors, and work at teaching institutes. I am not one of them. More power to those people, they’re nessicary.
 
I can make more money, faster, out in the private market.
