Well, that’s just lovely. My computer, for no goddamn reason, decides to shut down if I leave it for more than ten minutes. This causes all my files that I might have forgotten to save when I left to be lost.
 
And I have not found any way of fixing this issue.

Shit, that’s tough!

Aahhhhh! A truck I really like comes along and I have enough to buy it cash. Nothing wrong with it at all, no rust and well taken care of, the only problem, it’s got a leather interior. But wait, doesn’t that make it even better? No. I hate leather seats, they are freezing cold in the winter and they get hot enough to burn skin in the summer. Plus they are slippery and you slide around in them going around corners and most of all I don’t like the idea of sitting on dead animal skin, it’s too disturbing, it’s basically like being surrounded by death every time I drive it. I know, I’m weird.

Thought about seat covers but they never seem to fit and slide off the seat. Maybe I could just sell the seats and use that money to buy cloth ones.

You could always reupholster, leather comes off real easy with a pair of shears.

Well not really my dream truck but as far as what I can afford cash and the condition it’s in its pretty nice.

Welp, seven years, movie, all that. Not seven full years more like four for me. Wonder if it’s time to disengage from this fandom more. No it’s not an “I’m leaving” thing.
 
Edit: I don’t know why that’s crossing my mind. I’m just tired of witnessing drama and battles, like the war that happened over Scootaloo’s aunt. It seems so minor. Luckily it seems to have been more of thing on other sites than here on derpi.

Why do we live in a system where it is considered in some way almost sinister for a common citizen to pursue quick wealth when celebrities, pro athletes, etc did just that and are venerated as gods?

I have several follow-up questions to answer that.
 
First things first, it depends on how ‘quick’ it is and just what you’re doing. Anything that’s quick and requires little work tends to be dishonest in some way.
 
And, ‘venerated as gods’? Where did you get that impression alongside the thought that their line of work is ‘quick’?

Something that pisses me off more than it probably should: When mods of a group/website abuse their powers for the sake of trolling other users there.

I thought you’d be able to tell the venerated as gods thing is a clear figure of speech. Secondly, yes, playing pro sports doesn’t strike me as being work. 7th graders play the same sports and train diligently too. If someone wants to pay a grown man $10 million a year to run with a piece of pigskin that’s their problem. I am allowed to opine that’s ridiculous if I elect however.
 
Also, quick as in maybe some kind of investment flip could be an example. Real estate, stocks, whatever. You’ll hear things like that not being real work or easy money by the same people who have no qualms about celebrities making the millions for one movie.
 
Hopefully you or anyone gets what I’m saying. Agree, disagree, whatever but hopefully simply get it.

And how many injuries and body maintenance professional footballing requires? comparable to 7th graders, really?
 
I think the sport’s fucking dumb, but I’m not gonna deny how much it demands.
 
And no, stocks are indeed comparatively less work-heavy. It’s a step above gambling.

I’ve been a movie extra a couple times before. I’ve been on the set and know things sufficiently enough. And yeah I’m comparing pro athletes to 7th graders. How much hard cash is the game worth? Whatever someone pays. How much is that investment you made good on worth? Whatever it paid. This has been my point. When people judge what is easy or less easy money as if it is some kind of merit scale it’s total subjectivity. I feel this hasn’t been quite absorbed yet. I’m not trying to be jagged.
 
The root of why I’m pondering all of this is that I’m doing investment research. So maybe I can better myself by my wits. And in one investment category I’m reading about, which is perfectly legal, some of the detractors’ argument in that discussion is “well you’re just after quick easy money”. What kind of argument is that? Who decides the morality or lack thereof in trying to do that in a system centered around making money?
