That’s a dumb mindset. There’s a time for tragedy and a time for happy endings, though if the characters devolve into generic lovers and lose personality, that’s a problem.

That and the early 80’s. I was more talking about his second album, which I didn’t like by virtue of having “I Wanna Be Your Lover”, my least favorite song from him. I like disco too, but it wasn’t his genre at all and I’m glad he found his signature style by “1999”

Yes they’re classics, but so were Little Red Corvette, 1999, Purple Rain, When Doves Cry, and Kiss. Also, Prince had more of a groove to his music that MJ lacked.

In terms of art and media, it’s better to be overly critical than to be overly accepting.

I really hate my complete inability to like overpowered heroes. Since comic fans are clearly completely fine with them. Since they’ll gladly explain in excruciating detail how a specific hero can easily solve any problem you throw at them.
