Unpopular opinion time (super alpha no pony edition)

I don’t mind the fact DuckTales 2017 is focusing more on the kids. Since they have much more personalities and depth than the original show, it gives it a new take while also being respectful to the source material. I’m not saying the show shouldn’t involve Scrooge, but I honestly fine with the kids getting more focus.

Animal Crossing should bring in some bats.

‘Tis a joke. You’d realize that when someone uses a .gif. Nobody ever has a serious conversation and uses animations or emojis.

It’s frightening to think about how no one realized the horror of genocide until WWII. Before than, it was scary how common it was (and still is today), from killing to preventing them from reproducing (Something America was doing a little before we discovered that the Nazi were also doing it). It gets worst when you realize that, if it wasn’t for Hitler, we wouldn’t realized how fucked up the practice was, or realize it later on.

Yeah, I remember reading The Great Gatsby and wondering why no one was batting an eye when one of the characters was talking about preventing the “undesirables” from breeding. At least Hitler made eugenics a lot less popular.

What counts as being an “undesirable” condition or characteristic varies by person. Some people do indeed highly advocate for euthanasia for broad conditions, others thing euthanasia should be involuntary only in the most extreme of cases and think its more ethical and/or palatable to just sterilize people with conditions such as Schizophrenia, Down Syndrome, Dementia, One or more forms of Bipolar, and folks born without legs. Just pointing stuff out

It looks like that no one recognizes it as genocide until after WWII, base on what I came across.

ok, so when presented proof that it’s just a inside gag and not an intentional one, a cartoon writer is still insisted by others to be a pedophile just because they don’t like the show.
 
but when another cartoon writer (creator no less) is suspended over claims of sexual misconduct (to actual persons, not “muh childhood”), people are too quick to defend him just because they like his cartoon. compare it to another cartoon creator who got fired over sexual misconduct and got mocked. the difference between the first guy is the second guy’s cartoon isn’t visually appealing to the masses.
 
wonder how many people get support just because they’re physically beautiful or made something beautiful (iirc there’s a hollywood director that got off jailtime because others rallied that him in jail denies humanity of his artistic genius).

The thing about WWII was that it was huge and it went unnoticed outside of Germany and people didn’t know about it AFTER the war was over when they discovered the camps. Despite something horrible like that happened, yeah, it’s strange to know that so much social and scientific movement rose came from it.

People who are attractive or made something attractive always get the better deal/impression. If you’re tall and handsome, people expect you to lead a successful life (job for example) but if you’re short and average then you’re automatically seen as a minimum wage worker. You wouldn’t want to think that, but it happens.

My entire field wouldn’t exist without WWII. Social psychology was started in the US by the military to apply psychological research to the battlefield, and to design effective recruitment tools.

All of this will be irrelevant once humanity claims its birthright with genetic augmentation. The whole evolutionary process has led up to the point where the creatures start to evolve themselves.

To be fair, no one likes to think about our insignificances. That’s why cosmic horror is so effective.

I find it kinda funny that the new South park game is both the most offensive game this year, and yet somehow one of the most progressive games this year X)

I really dislike the word “progressive” because everyone has their own definition of how progressiveness works.
 
One person’s view of progression would be another person’s view of regression.

I honestly have no idea how anyone can find South Park offensive when it ridicules literally everyone.

Classical music is only considered more intellectual and sophisticated due to its age and the time it was composed.
 
More modern composions of music are more technically sophisticated, and require higher degrees of skill to both master and appreciate.
 
While one can argue that older compositions were limited by the instruments and understanding of the time, and thus are more “impressive” I find this to be a foolish argument.
 
Thus, modern compositions should not be inherently consider unintelligent, nor should older ones be considered inherently intellectual.
