I don’t think so. That’s how the big companies make money anyway. It was games like the release of Smash 4 which got the sales for WiiU, for some people, that is their only WiiU game. People don’t buy Nintendo consoles ‘cause they’re “powerful” or the graphics look better, or the controls, it’s all for the exclusives.

remember when that was a thing? the main thing that makes you decide on a console is “does it have X in it?”
 
now it’s near suicide for game companies to exclusively sell their games onto one platform.

Offal gets a bad rep and honestly liver is one of the tastiest things to come out of an animal.

Personally, I hope they cut the whole exculusive bullshit since only the games truly matter and limiting yourself to a console is just going to bleed you dry.

Eh, alright, but it’s not like anyone can stop Nintendo from doing that or it’ll make them release exclusives to others. The thing about Nintendo, is that that they try to take full control of the weird, wacky consoles, and do it well. Two screens? One uses a stylus? Exercising????
 
Unfortunately, it’s not like their creative ideas make “gamers” wanna get the consoles, I don’t doubt the only reason their sales rocket suddenly for their next console is because of another Smash game.

I don’t limit myself…? The only limitation is Microsoft’s Xboxs and that’s because I have a general dislike of their hardware, practices, etc. And I’m not the type of person to buy a console for one sole game that I could probably get on the PC anyway.  
I only said that stuff before because that’s what the game companies do and people have to follow it to get that exclusive.

A company has every right to sell their games on a single console, gamers are not entitled to get a game on whatever console they want. If Nintendo wants to limit their games to their console that is their prerogative.
 
Admittedly, it helps they are a very large company with a huge reputation and franchises that are loved by so many.

I meant mostly third party game makers. first party always make their games exclusive for their own stuff.
 
Also I am weirded out by the use of quotation marks around gamers. saying only those who devote massive amounts of time/money can qualify as being a “gamer”. unless i misread that.

I got reminded of a japanese game show that despite no subs/translations got the point across with a ‘philippine flag’ + ‘ketchup’ + “?” (what is the mystery ingredient of Philippine ketchup?)
 
when it was revealed to be banana the contestant took another taste to try and find the banana. the “you’ve got to be kidding me” look was hilarious.
