It’s an animated movie (CGI is an animation style), and the movie required the characters to be expressive, so I think it may needed to be more animated.

It’s pure CGI, a form of animation. I don’t care how realistic it looks, it’s still animation.

On that note, the notion that a tokusatsu series can ONLY be character-driven or ONLY plot-driven is dumb. There needs to be a balance between the two.

People who aren’t interested in 2D animation were extremely impressed by the Lion King Remake while people into it hated it, it feels like they are two different categories for different audiences

Immortality honestly feels like more of a curse than a gift.

As well as the type of immortality. For example, do you live a normal lifespan to die of old age, but can’t be killed by anything else? Are you ageless but can be killed by external factors?

3D and realistic animation are still animation. It’s like saying that a horror-comedy isn’t horror because it has comedic elements.

Well, for one thing, you have to deal with the harsh reality of outliving all your friends, family, and loved ones, and because of that you are basically doomed to never form any meaningful bonds with anyone without it ultimately ending in heartbreak. I mean, that was the entire reason for the use of “Who Wants to Live Forever” in Highlander.

Physical indestructibility seems work fine for me as long as I live the normal length.

But 3D has a huge advantage over 2D in that it’s much more respected and seen as less “Childish” in public eyes, meaning it’s more likely to win awards and such

That’s a problem with the audience than, not the animation. Maybe it’s more childish to treat 3D/realistic animation differently than 2D that way, and separating them would only strengthen the problem rather than solve it.

Clairvoyance or precognition is someone’s favorite specialties among themselves.
