Unpopular opinion time (super alpha no pony edition)

Well, there was that one time we’ve got to choose one other game out of 5 options (That the GM is familiar with), I voted for Legend of the Five Rings or Exalted, but most of the group voted for Star Wars (Help that the nearly released of The Force Awaken), which I’m personally not a fan of (I like it, but think it’s a little too overrated).  
That session was a huge disaster: one of the players really hated the character he created (since none of us had any experience with that system), so he forced him to die, in order to create a new one; Another one stopped coming at all; And for me (as a non Star Wars fan): that session was never felt really engaging, to begin with.  
We never finished that game.

I’m sure its great for people who find joy in seeing their comments get upvoted. While I don’t need that, some people like it.

A lot of the subreddits are shit and a lot of the mods don’t seem to do a very good job at monitoring them (a wrestling subreddit decided that after someone became a new champion that shutting the sub down would be the best way to stop people from talking about the outcome of the match. Even though that by doing so it upset a lot of people, because the mods ruined the outcome of it).
 
Several communities deciding that shitposts are better then actually talking about the subject of the sub (the arrow subreddit is all but a shitposting sub now, or would rather hold talk about The Punisher instead of Arrow).
 
Having an unpopular opinion often times results in you getting downvoted (one guy even got people sending him death threats and abuse after he said he liked Suicide Squad In a movie subreddit). Also, having the ability to up and downvote comments would just lead to people downvoting the opinions they don’t like and just upvote the ones that after agree with them.
 
Also one sub I used to visit really seems to hate artists. Like it seemed that every time someone posted a pic they made, there would always be someone going “No one gives a shit about your shitty art, go away”

This was brought up in the Video Game thread, though I think this is a better place for me to post that. Apparently, the creator of Salad Fingers said that Mat Pat’s theory was wrong, but if I read it correctly, it’s because it’s not suppose to have a actual story. I don’t see what Pat’s theory is any more wrong than the countless theories before his, and if he can find a story out of madness, than what matters if he finds something the creator didn’t intend? It’s a better theory than Darth Jar Jar.

It’s not that I take his videos seriously, I’m just not a fan of his videos. I tried getting to it like once or twice but I just couldn’t. I guess he’s not my cup of tea of anything.

Trouble is, some people actually take his videos completely seriously as if the theories are fact.
