Ah yes, those people. Also, you missed out the people saying 9/11 was an inside job and that Obama is secretly a Muslim.
 
And speaking of MLP and race, I know I mentioned it before in the pony thread, but I still go by the opinion that its fine to see whatever race/nationality/sexuality/whatever a character form the show is, as long as you are not a dick about it.
 
Luckily, the people I talk to about MLP and human races are very nice people. They respect my choices, and I respect theirs.
 
Well I was just worried about it. My frined said that it’s fine, since its consensual RP between loving partners, and not someone who thinks blacks should be treated like dirt.

Forgot about the Obama one for a second, but I’m less tempted to bring the 9/11 conspiracy theorists into this. Despite the most known point being that “jet fuel can’t melt steel beams,” which it can, there were certainly a few things suspect about that that still haven’t been answered.
 
And I agree. Personally, I think of every character as looking in human form similar to how their voice actor looks, though that may just be due to watching too many shows where the voice actors looked like the characters they voiced. (Gargoyles, anyone?)

And of course, with me being in the UK, you have a lot of dumb conspiracies about Brexit and Jo Cox.
 
(If you don’t know, Jo Cox was an MP that wanted the UK to remain with the EU, and a couple of days before the vote, she was stabbed and killed by a Far-Right extremist who yelled out “Britain First!” before killing her. While the majority of both sides of the debate where able to at least put aside their differences to agree that her death was a really tragic thing to have happened, you have a few people who think this was a set up by the remain side to get more votes.)
 
Also, that logic kinda gets wonky if you have a male character being voiced by a male.

Yeah, that’s going to happen. People should focus on legit conspiracies that there is actual evidence about.
 
And what do you mean by that? A male character being voiced by a male is usually what happens. (Unless you meant a female being voiced by a male and just had a typo.)

I figured. The only example I can think of off the top of my head is Tara Strong voicing Timmy Turner, though.
 
Also, it gets a little wonky when one voice actor voices multiple characters.

In my upcoming Rainbow Rocks review, I make a joke about Pinkie and Fluttershy arguing with each other and wondering how that must have been like to watch in the vocal booth.

We may be able to bring back the woolly mammoth, and other extinct animals, through a rather unique method. Rather than cloning in the traditional sense, they plan on using CRISPR-Cas9 to take DNA from its modern relatives, and reverse elements of it. Regressing the changes back to the state they were in the mammoth, and creating an elephant-mammoth hybrid.
 
They are also trying to develop technology to gestate embryos outside of the womb. I support both these technologies.

Literally. We’ve seen movies like Jurassic Park. Bringing back long extinct animals into an environment that they aren’t adapted to and that isn’t adapted to them is not going to end well.

Jurassic Park was written by a guy who believed most biotech was evil, climate change was a myth, and was such a rampant egotist he personally attacked critics of his works on everything from their sexual abilities to their intelligence.

Wow, I did not know that. O_o Still, that seems to be an ad hominem attack on the creator rather than an attack on the argument. I mean, I also kind of fear the developments in artificial intelligence, and there have been tons of movies about those–more movies showing the 1,000,000+ ways it could possibly fail than the few benefits–yet people are still optimistic about that, so eh, I guess whatever I think doesn’t really matter.

It’s not an attack if it’s used to highlight flaws directly attributable to the argument. He had a natural dislike/distrust of bio-technology, and his denial of climate science (and other sciences) shows he has no qualms about cherry picking which data to agree with.
 
So, he’s not a good authority on the dangers and benefits. He was biased.
 
The idea that if we bring back certain animals that they will run amok and murder folks is absurd. A t-rex isn’t going to be able to do the things it did in the movies. A bullet would still put it down.
 
The worst that would happen is that the animal simply dies, or is non-viable for the modern environment.

If it’s not harming any living creature, especially humans and dont have potential to go disastrously wrong there shouldn’t be even question if we should or not unless costs of doing it is really expensive.

For once, I’ll have to say his is amazing science stuff here.  
But is there a limit to this? I don’t think any dinosaur remains today would yield any DNA as their organic components are completely replaced by minerals.

That’s the thing, they are bringing about genetic changes in the modern decedents of the original animals. No need to gather up a lot of old genetic material.
