Srsl, I love onion on my pizza, but artichokes are the devil’s flower. Damn things smell like farts when being cooked, then have the nerve to taste of nothing when they’re done.

Penicillium roqueforti to be exact. Not exactly the same as the penicillin you’d use as an antibiotic, but harmless nonetheless. Dunno if the cheese is still forbidden in the US, it was blocked after Bush got butthurt over France not wanting to go into Irak.

Back then, they used to rub roquefort cheese on cuts and injuries because people knew it somehow managed to avoid infections. Only much later Fleming discovered the relation between it’s mold and disnfectant properties.
