I heard of that, and I can see that, and this seems like a case since they could have lost and still be in the tournament as the comments pointed out.
 
Also, I hate how Team Unicorn was quickly TPK’d off-screen. It’s just a cheap way for the new threat to defeat the old thread to scare the heroes. I have time, so I plan on watching their duel.

I actually like the card those guys used. Nowadays it means jack because a deck isn’t meta if it let’s something survive into the battle phase. But back then, you mix that card with The Dark Door and you just seat back and watch your opponent choke on his rage

How is riding duels a power source? What’s wrong with regular duels?

Not going to lie, the shadow games must have rotted a bit if a card that locks up bikes is the best they have after Duel Monsters and GX.
 
So it’s power is using a shadowy hand to pull at the bicycle. Shadow magic is kind of lame in this, since Akiza could do better if she didn’t lose her powers before crashing for reasons.
 
So, did Carly take a picture of it reaching out of the shadows to grab at his bike?
 
Fun Fact: Black-Winged Dragon doesn’t count as a Blackwing monster, so it’s useless in those decks.
 
Jack Mother Fucking Atlas gives the shadow card the middle finger. I love this guy.

What cards are you referring to? Also, I’d imagine that it’s mostly the competitive players who take winning too seriously that looks down on non-meta cards that much.

I looked through my Destiny deck, and I have Spark Blaster but no Sparkman I just found it, but that doesn’t change anything. Wow, I’m lacking Destiny Hero cards. Same with my Alien deck, with D.D. monsters.
 
Checked my Water and Synchro/generic decks, and it’s the same story. I have a Junk Warrior in the latter I don’t think I can actually summon.

How did she not get run over?
 
Ally of Justice monsters. It’s great to finally see them, even if they’re very gimmicky. Fun fact, they have a hand trap called Cycle Reader that’s quite powerful against light decks that use the graveyard, and would likely see competitive that ever becomes meta.
 
How are they causing the motorcycles to explode? All we say was it stopping the usual way, but suddenly flips over and explodes. What’s up with that?

This. Isn’t. What. A. Shadow. Duel. Is. The Earthbound battles are more of what Shadow Duels are than these battles. Idiots.

You know, Shooting Star Dragon’s appearance would be cooler if it was at the final battle of the arc, being used to defeat the big bad and saving the day. I hope Assault Red Archfiend Dragon is next, since it’s a non-synchro, making it able to counter the bots much easier.
 
Five tuners in a row? In any other cases, that would be very bad.
 
I’m going to guess that Iliaster sudden change is due to the changes behind the scenes.
 
And it’s time for Bommer, a character that I wonder what would have happened to him if writers weren’t changed or popularity changing who becomes what. I read that Crow was going to be a Dark Signer until people fell in love with his Blackwing cards, and seeing as how he dueled Bommer, I wonder if they originally had any plans for him after his battle with Yusei.
 
I’m going on a limb and say the Earthbound are still recovering from their defeat. Also, I’m guessing that the monster Bommer saw was Red Rising Dragon, not Red Archfiend Dragon.
 
Wasn’t it that the Earthbounds were the ones that were evil and sealed by the Crimson Dragon? I smell changes behind the scenes.
 
Racing in the While Earthbound seems like a very bad idea, especially due to Bommer’s personal connection with it.
 
Max’s glazed eyes are more than a little suspicious.

So the Crimson Dragon is Quetzalcoatl now? Sure, I guess. Quetzalcoatl was never mention due to the region, so I’ll let it slide.
 
So no Assault form, just another Synchro that uses Synchro monsters. That’s disappointing.
 
Somehow, main characters promising rematches in Yu-Gi-Oh bothers me much less than in Pokemon.

I don’t get Victory Dragon.

And I bought some Ghostrick cards and some Alien cards, the former because I like their appearance and the latter for my Alien deck.

You’re not even mean to use it but here’s the gist
 
You duel in a 2 out 3 falls match, then Victory kills your opponent first round via direct attack, you win the whole fight

That sound very situational. Doesn’t help that there are plenty of over 2400 attack monsters that could stop it, as well as the effects of cards like Drowning Force.

Like I said, you’re not really supposed to use any of those monsters anyways since duels rarely go for the match condition and are single battles

They’re called Match Winners  
They’re given away as prizes for tournament winners  
Sans Victory Dragon for being the first, all match winners have the label “Illegal” where their passcodes would be  
Victory Dragon is only Forbidden because being the first match winner it didn’t had the “Illegal” imprint not because it can break the game in half like FUCKING FIREWALL DRAGON

A match is the best 2 out of 3 duels.
 
If in the first duel Victory Dragon reduces your opponents life to 0 then you instantly win the match without having to even play the other duels.

I saw a video talking about Firewall and that they can’t ban to due to it being the main card of the anime hero, putting them in an awkward spot for newcomers wanting to use the current iconic card.

I feel like time-altering powers is kind of a power that includes plot-holes and questions. I wonder if that was originally planned or changed due to the changes behind the scene. And we know that other gods exist in the Yu-Gi-Oh world, since the Norse Gods protected the memories of the team that uses them, like Crimson did with 5D’s and Friends.

I honestly find Synchro monsters that require other Synchro to be too gimmicky, especially with Red Nova’s requirement of two tuners.
 
So the anime version only negates the effect of the monster it battles, while the official one is immune to all effects. Insteresting.
