Just finished the Unicorn episodes, and recorded my thoughts.
Why didn’t Jack attack the monster without the remove-from-play effect?
Let me guess, Unicorn were the ones to cause Crow’s accident and sent something into Jack’s unicycle’s intake as well as trick them.
And they didn’t make any rules regarding vehicles breaking down why, other than tension?
Why wasn’t Akiza ready to go when Jack was returning? ()she was, my mistake)
“D-Wheeling is dangerous” And fighting gods who live off of humans isn’t? And she can solidify monsters at will to defend herself and others. I think she’ll be fine.
Fangirls taking care of Jack doesn’t sound like a good idea.
You know, having traps like Magic Cylinder or Wall of Disruption might be helpful. Just saying.
Witch of the Black Rose is such a cute card.
Hey, Crow and Akiza interacting. That’s a nice change-of-pace.
I just realized that Akiza countered the guy’s spell after he paid the cost. Nice timing.
“Tuner? So he uses Synchos” Who doesn’t in 5D’s other than some of the villains?
“I have no interest in frivolous women.” Nothing to add, it’s just a good line against that hoe.
Kind of weird how the card game is named after a character and not the card game’s in-universe name, Duel Monsters.
That was an unfortunate shot of Yusei, making it look like he’s enjoying the duel too much.
Something about the purple tinted close-ups between Yusei and Jack that I find hilarious.
Wait, so now they remember that fusions are a thing? And Yusei never used fusions before, so this is coming out of nowhere.
How does the guy not have any means to his bi-horned-horse? And Yusei used Scrap-Iron Scarecrow, because of course.
Also, bi-horned-horse looks weird for some reason. It’s animation doesn’t fit what we saw earlier, and just looks bad compared to the slower gallop that we’re used to in this series.
…What. Why? Was that build up about team-work and needing to work as a team to succeed for nothing? And now Yusei did beat a team almost solo, because he’s the main character. Nothing was learned, so everyone’s going to rely on plot-armor to save the day yet again. I remembering Jaden losing in GX, and it being used for plot and character development, so why not here? Was he suppose to lose but the drama behind the scenes changed that, like the kid wanting to steal Stardust?
