Blood, muscles, flesh. Super stated that apparently Gero’s augmentations were less putting metal into them (except for the bomb and presumably infinite energy reactors) and more implanting artificially enhanced organic bits. So they’re less cyborgs and more non-machine transhumans.

Toriyama was pretty famous for literally making shit up as he went along while he was writing Dragon Ball.
 
Also, literally every plot twist in the Android and Cell Sagas was because of Toriyama arguing with his editor, and BOY CAN YOU TELL.

Because there is absolutely no viable reason for 19 and gero to be not just weaker than 16 17 and 18, but for it to be by an order of magnitude is just plain fucking stupid,

There is, but in the case of 17/18 it’s weak and the case of 16 it’s stupid. And both can still be ascribed to the same hasty revisions that brought the androids in the first place.

17/18 are different models of androids. After seeing them being uncontrollable he stopped enhancing humans who could hold a grudge against him…but for some reason didn’t upgrade himself with their clearly superior models.
 
16 is just him being sentimental. He modeled 16 in the image of his son and then boosted his capabilities higher than normal so 16 couldn’t be destroyed…but apprently didn’t feel 19 needed the same power because he lacked the same sentimentality.

Okay, I just read a short summary about it. So Carol Danvers got raped without her knowledge, gave birth in a few days, her son grew up in a matter of hours and apparently was also the son of some God of Time(?). Then, her son leaves after he lost or something and Carol chased after him because mommy issues.
