I just read through the entire thing. Holy hell was that an adventure. Better drama and comedy than most television nowadays.

Started playing the Telltale Guardians game.
 
I’m enjoying it, but with it being sort of stuck between the comics and movies, it feels really off to me.

Apparently Gainax lost the lawsuit against Anno for the Evangelion rights and must pay Anno’s studio $900,000 (no idea how much that is in yen)…
 
What exactly was the deal with that, anyway? I’ve heard a few details about it, but I was never sure just what the lawsuit was about…
 
I guess this means we’re probably never getting Rebuild 4.4 after all… Or a release of the original series and the End of Evangelion movie…

But yeah, we’re probably never going to see Rebuild 4.4 now since Gainax won’t be able to animate for it since they don’t have the rights anymore. Unless I’m completely misunderstanding just what the heck the deal with all this is.

They would have to pay royalties, that’s why they got sued, as they weren’t paying the royalties they owed, they are looking like they may end up going under. since the lawsuit will cost them roughly half their income from last year, if i remember right Trigger is made of ex Gainax staff, bet they are happy they ditched that boat early enough,

What the hell has been taking it so long though? Hell, Rebuild 3.3’s dub was apparently finished in like 2010 or so and shown at some cons back then, but due to some weird legal shit it didn’t get officially released until like last year.
