I could almost guarantee that… because I can hear almost instantly if I’m off when re-listening to it… but I can’t for the life of me truly tell if I’m off while singing unless it’s close to half a semitone… which is waaay too much off for it to sound right
 
Needs to be more like quarter of a semitone… unless you’re doing vibrato, as you’ll be hitting the right pitch pretty frequently as you’re shifting your voice up and down and it’ll probably sound okay
 

 
Which, to be fair, half a semitone really isn’t THAT much… that’s like 24th of an octave…
 
So, yes, it’s significant… but not thaaaaat much… there’s 12 semitones in an octave IIRC
 
 
Actually, shifting your voice up and down is a decent way to get it to sound good while being slightly off… I have an example… gotta find it..

This one I sang about 3 weeks ago… I kind of wobbled my voice on “me” when it goes “but you’re even more awesome than me” and it does make it sound somewhat okay… at least, to me…
 
It’s not true vibrato, not even a fake vibrato technique… just simply shifting my voice up and down a little

The chrous is just slightly high for me to do in that octave so I was a little off… the chrous isn’t THAT high… like… upper third/lower fourth octave… buuuut… high enough that.. yeah…
 
Also, damn… was just like half a semitone too low on “tears”
 
Ugh… see, even a smaaaaall amount makes it not sound right…
 
This is the lower octave, with background music (which I had playing for both, but the first link I sent was the mic-only version… I recorded two audio tracks at the same time while recording… one with just mic audio and one with mic + desktop audio)

No, seriously, I feel so much better now that I have the badge… I actually went slightly crazy not having it even after doing the event… I guess I was upset with myself that I didn’t do the event sooner and that I had changed my mind too late… meh… it’s all in the past, now :)

I guess… one is without falsetto and one is with falsetto… so, yeah, there is a different… plus, that’s pretty much the highest I can sing…. I can go up to D#… and that note was D… soooooo.. pretty much…
 
I don’t have a very high range voice :/ I can squeal in lower sixth octave but only sing into lower fifth

At least, I think that’s B… It’s either A# or B… preeeetty sure it’s B…
 
He can actually sing up to like D in the sixth octave, I think… like, damn… which is really just 3 semitones higher… but, still… 3 semitones is still a pretty big significant difference
