I’ve also ordered Version 2.0 by Garbage (and I found a couple of their previous Record Store Day singles) and In the Court of the Crimson King by King Crimson. One album I’m thinking of picking up on vinyl next is Foxtrot by Genesis. Mostly because it has Supper’s Ready.

Who else has a savings plan so they can throw their own birthday party?

I’m not really into that anymore. For my birthday this year all I did really was make a cake with my mom the night before.

I’ve been doing the “put money aside every week so I can throw a birthday party for myself” for three years. I thought it was clever.

The idea started during my depression, when nobody ever wished me a happy birthday, even on Skype (despite the notifications that pop up on the midnight of my other friends’ birthday).

Well you clearly don’t need them. That’s mess up!

I for my own, partially in my opinion, hate going to the parties with couple of general issues.
 
One: I do not have the energy to eat that much alot anymore. It feels like my metabolism changes years by years that passed by. (This is how we throw parties in our culture by having a HUGE fest of foods on the table reminding you of a “fuck diet” stereotype)
 
Two: it’s also a part of our weird culture that most aunts and uncles that were invited in a party will inevitably tell you if you have a boy/girlfriend or if you’re married and they will criticize your life status which imo is kinda invading one’s privacy.
