My guess for why someone would think Moon’s mother should have clubs, they where not paying attention and/or thinking of the implications.
 
The ones with the marks are all part of the Butterfly family, but so does Miss Heinous, meaning there is somthing about her we don’t know.  
With Eclipsa now out all the living people with the marks playing some role are of the four main suits in cards, and before we know of the others people thought this meant somthing big.  
As in as soon as we found out what Miss Heinous was hiding there was even a few jokes of Marco’s actully being a in the shape of a spade, be it was based on the idea that the people with the marks of the four suits where key players in somthing to come.  
So if these ideas are true, Moon’s mother shouldn’t have clubs as she’s dead.

dude its just a flashback. and before ANYONE says that it isn’t because of Queen Moons gloves…keep in mind that back in the middle ages female royalty and nobility wore those gloves at formal events.

Given the reason she has the glove, that would be stupid as as she would of started wearing them well before Star was born.  
So formal event or not, the gloves do not disprove it being a flashback.
 
Only times we have seen her without glove is in “Moon the Undaunted”, the tapestry inside the wand in “Into the Wand”, and the puppet used for her princess song.

Then that would remove the impact of what Marco did in Blood Moon Ball, because there would be no reason for Tom to invite Star, so you would just be hurting Starco.

Actually that was the reason why, as I did not realize there were other symbols then the four suits.
 
Up to this point I’ve thought there was only such and not other symbols like bunnies, lightning bolts, or hourglasses. Because of such, seeing Moon’s mother have what could appear to be butterflies seemed out if place.
 
Hmm, I’ll try to pay a bit more attention and look into things a bit more.  

 
Also, the relationship between Jackie and Marco were essential in building up to Starco. Even the previous relationship between Star and Tom I feel is important.
 
Do not change anything, or I agree you weaken Starco.

No you don’t get it, weeaboo is not about a style of art, it’s the actions of the person.  
A (typically)non-Asian descent person who prefers Japan and all things in Japanese over there own culture, sometime to the point of even denouncing said culture.  
Anime like art style, for what ever reason, is not weeaboo.
