I don’t know about anything from Canada. I mostly remember about Austria’s domestic politics and whatever new stupid thing Trump is doing.

And not only would the other countries not like the EU interfering, they will flip it a birdie. The EU and its courts can’t demand anything for places that are outside the reach of their power. All the EU will achieve by trying is making a complete laughing stock out of itself.

Quite definitely. I mean, it’s essentially the EU trying to make a legal decision for countries that aren’t member states and their own jurisdictions. There is no way they will follow up on this decision and let the EU tell them what to do.

Just saw the trade rumours on Twitter
But, Should i trust only a few sources (Users)?
Or should I treat this as something that can be interpreted as not A17, but rather a persuasion to find and make technological advancements for the future? (As the EUCD wasn’t DIRECTLY mentioned)

Im not sure what could become of those rumors.

A silver lining to come out of the Directive being imported means that America itself could possibly have the grounds to challenge it in court just like Poland.

And America is definitely FAR more likely to win in court than Poland would.

Not that I think Poland’s current case is hopeless.

I mean, It dated back to February, And it could just be the UK saying “Have better technology for the future” because I saw no explicit mention of the directive, so I’ll treat this as rumour

Just read the document for myself
The UK actually wants the US to find brand new emerging technologies for the future
Background Pony #192E
I am extremely pleased to report that France has apparently delayed implementation a whole year

The mods have said Derpi will be fine
Be lucky it’s not the July 2018 version that passed or else this site would truly be toast.

You know something, Net Neutrality was a bipartisan issue until a certain group came out in massive support of the Ajit Pai’s Intention to repeal it.

Guess who that group was?

Because I think that same exact group is to blame for Article 13 even coming into existence to start with.

Hmm….. No, not exactly. Someone who isn’t willing to fight could tell you that the future for the Internet looks grim. But not necessarily, they could also give you a hopeful answer because they’ve decided to let someone else fight while they just sit back and because they hope that this someone will succeed.
No, what I meant was the outcome of it all. If no one or not enough people fight, or if those who fight don’t do enough, the free Internet could easily fall when it gets attacked.
But if there are enough people fighting and if they are willing to do everything that needs to be done to protect the Internet, no matter what dimensions the resistance has to take, then the free Internet will never fall.*

*Claim does not cover zombie apocalypses. Zombie apocalypses make everything fall.

The Far/Alt Right actually.

They were the ones who divided the universal effort to stop Ajit Pai through massive disinformation campaigns.

Also…

The most oppressive elements of the EU Copyright Directive were created and pushed by Far Right Individuals and their idiotic/oblivious centrist allies.

And the Far-Right (Europe) and Alt-Right (US)
The Far-Right because they made things violent and resulted in the MEP’s not listening to us
The Alt-Right for their consequencal trolling
And what do these 2 groups have in common?, They love Russia’s tyrannical regime. A regime that is infamously known for destroying western democracy by trolling and spreading fake news.
