Fantano for all his faults called her out for being to Pavement what Greta Van Fleet is to Led Zeppelin , it’s refreshing how Fantano has no issues going after Mediocre Indie bands compared to most Music Critics

If they wanted to put a Pavement-lite song in their at least put a Mac Demarco song since he at least puts his own twist in that style

I’ve suddenly become aware that most of that kind of music I’ve listened to has been from towards the beginning of the decade so I’m not the best judge for that.

Had this crap stuck in my head for 2 days now.

I think I like 5 Seconds Of Summer’s later electropop style than their earlier pop punk sound, they fit much better with the former and they made some actual good songs to boot. (Youngblood, Easier, Who Do You Love with The Chainsmokers and now Teeth)

They honestly came off as a very watered down version of Punk in their first two albums, I never even knew their most famous song “you look so perfect” is even punk when I first heard it in a commercial
