and yes they can be a bit simple… bit so are a lot of superhero suits.

At lest most superhero suits give a look that makes sense for the name.  
How the hell is nothing but an all red jumpsuit with black dots say “ladybug”, I see polka dot and that’s it.

considering it’s a magical girl series and a minor point is fashion, not to mention that most cues come from Spider-Man. yeah it makes sense.

You know I was really disappointed to see this get made in 3D when the original trailer was what first caught my interest. Then I saw some preview clips of the 3D animation and had to admit that it looked pretty crisp and smooth.
 
Then I saw a few episodes and now I think they had too high an animation budget. Everyone moves and talks as if they had 26 minutes of material that had to be squeezed into 22 minutes.
 
A nitpick really. But I gotta say this show is growing on me.

It has been confirmed that an OVA is in production at toei japan .  
so we are getting our 2D but most importantly in my opinion a more mature version for us the fans,  
its just a question of time now .

Ugh, now here I was looking through some indie movies, and suddenly this pops up in my recommended list. The song itself got me into the video (as well as how cute it was) but now I’m extremely curious. Who is this Miraculous Ladybug? What does she entail, and does her show have any quality? I would much appreciate a good answer.

Ladybug, and by proxy Chat Noir, are the designated heroes of Paris, France chosen by magical creatures called kwami and given jewelry called Miraculous. Their duty is to make sure to keep the innocents from harm against the Akuma, corruption butterflies sent out by the insidious Hawkmoth, who desires the Miraculous for his own means.
 
outside of that, we have Marinette Dupain-Cheng, a Half-French, Half-Chinese teenager who is secretly Ladybug, going to school and crushing on Adrien Agreste, son of the fashion mogul Gabriel Agreste, and model for his father’s line. Marinette is in love with Adrien, to which Adrien does not know. Adrien himself is in love with Ladybug, and can see her at any time as Chat Noir. neither knows the other’s identity.

I can’t believe he went through that much effort to make a chart… Shouts out to Landon.  
As for the show itself, I looked into it a little, and apparently it’s a case of “stereotypes done right”. If I have the time, I’ll watch a few episodes, then probably use this thread as a record book like I have a tendency of doing to most of the threads here.  
If no one minds, of course.
