Looking good here in Austria too. Our Social Democratic Party, that is fiercely against Article 13 (now Article 17), didn’t win and instead, the party whose top candidate voted FOR the article won. But we have three other parties here in Austria who are against Article 13 (now Article 17) and upload filters. And together, these four parties have 11 seats in the EU parliament now, while the one pro-uploadfilter party has only 7 now. So that party can be outvoted in any future decisions easily.
A couple votes are still missing, of those who voted via letters instead of coming to the polling location, but it’s not to expect that there will be any major changes. Those who support Article 13 (now Article 17) here in Austria are vastly outnumbered by those who don’t.
