Mazda6 is fine as long as you buy a 2017 or newer model. Make sure it has a genuine Mazda Transmission, not the pre-2017 transmission. Probably avoid the Hondas. Their quality has been in decline with many of the newer cars, Accord included.

Of course these are just things I’ve heard, I haven’t owned either vehicle personally, so I’m not exactly an expert.

Normally I hate neoclassics. Aping a $10 000 000 Mercedes or a $30 000 000 Bugatti on a Ford or Corvette chassis is just ridiculous and pure automotive hypocrisy.

But damn, this thing is beautiful.

This thing is called the Packard-Bayliff, and the company’s other ideas are hodgepodging Packard grilles onto LTD Crown Vics and T-birds…

RCR on ANGRY cars

The video mentions Mercedes is going into a more “wholistic” design approach with simplicity as focus, but their cars are still very “angry” looking

@TheMagpulPone
Yes they are trying to make the transmissions more fancy, and adding complexity. So reliability will go down. Seems like 6-speed transmission is the safe bet still

“The Adventures of Rosalie” is without a doubt the most fucked-up book I have ever read. Seriously. What kind of Nazi scientist came up with this, transplating people’s heads on cars?

This just raises so many questions. Why do they have steering wheels and seats and levers when there’s no one to drive them? Was just putting faces on them too fucking vanilla for you? Why do you need an umbrella to lean on? YOU’RE A FUCKING CAR.

This is the scariest thing I have ever seen since the cat from Flapjack, and the sooner I forget it thr better.

A few things:

That’s Musk driving.
The truck shows a lot of body roll.
It still looks ridiculous.

It’s the wheel that hits the sign. If the design of the truck is so dedicated to aerodynamics that it’s, well, just look at it, wouldn’t it be better for aerodynamics if the wheels were flush with the sides of the truck?

If it were going for aerodynamics more, it would also have easily attached and removed fender skirts:

I know, you usually don’t see them on anything. The most recent car I can think of with them as standard equipment is the 1st generation Honda Insight:

Then again, knowing truck guys you’d just have them remove the skirts and put larger wheels on anyway. Maybe Elon considered skirting and decided against it for marketing purposes. Sigh, oh well.

Agreed. This reminds me, though, of a Semi that someone had and claimed to get 13.4 MPG in because he made it so aerodynamic. Here’s an article.

The user, known as Shepherd777 at EcoModder.com, started driving it in 2012. Here’s his more detailed thread on it.

For commuter purposes cross country it looks good; that’s the shape that many guys at EcoModder want to go for. It doesn’t look like there’s much space inside the car, though.

Since it’s relevant, here’s a 1st Gen Insight with a boat tail added for Highway MPG:

I am the sober horse
Hey I was just freaking about aerodynamics recently being generally pissed of to the industry for not adopting better aero on cars and also trucks, recently went on the highway I was literally counting how many trucks have aerodynamic devices on them.

Been looking at the famous aerocivic which is capable of: 95 mpg (US) at 65 mph (2.5 L/100 km at 105 km/h)
and even more impressively IMO: 50 mpg (US) at 90 mph (4.7 L/100 km at 145 km/h)
