Opinions on self-driving cars? I personally fucking hate them. I’ll Never put my life in a computers hands. Plus I actually like driving.

My opinion on self-driving: It could be useful as a option for say, tinny city cars, but if it was, say, a F-150 i couldnt see it being driverless. I am pretty neutral on it.

I like going to classic car shows and seeing cars like that. Next month there’s two shows I want to go to - the Italian Car Fest in Grapevine, and the Good Guys show at Texas Motor Speedway.

Self-driving cars are all Silicon Valley hype and that hype has lead to multiple deaths. I don’t trust self-driving cars and I would never want one. Maybe in a decade or so the technology will be viable but right now it’s dangerous.

Self-driving cars are the way of the future. The technology still needs work, but once it’s ready, I will not hesitate to adopt it. Human error causes most accidents, so wide-spread use of autonomous cars will drastically reduce the number of fatal accidents.

I drove an 84. It was wrecked into a telephone pole on Sept 3rd 2017. I wasn’t driving, that’s part of why it was wrecked. I’d like another but I’d buy a Wagon, not a Sedan and it would be an 89 for 2 reasons:
 
1: Safety. 1989 introduced outboard seat belts for rear seat passengers and though 1990 is the last year and they had this too, they had door-mounted seat belts up front which is G.M. Loophole Engineering.
 
2: Dad had an 89 Caprice Estate when I was a kid.
 
I’d also like it converted to have a 6.2 or 6.5 Diesel in it. (Not the unreliable 5.7 that was offered from 78 - 85.) The 6.5, if maintained properly with the right gearing and light enough oil, is absurdly fuel efficient even with an Automatic Transmission.
