Remember when Mercedes-Benz was the pioneer on a lot of things automotive?
While they are still classy-as-fYAY! in terms of style. Pretty much every other luxury brands have whatever Mercedes has now. Hell even some regular consumer brands such as Kia have technology that would have been only available in German luxury cars years ago.

BMW was also known for their bright red leather interiors in their performance models.

Micro cars huh. A curious part of post-war European automotive history.

Have you heard of the Elios?
It seems the concept of a micro three wheeler is still alive.

As awesome as it would be to have fast-as-hell wagons here, hardly anyone would buy them. I can search for a Cadillac CTS, and find the vast majority are sedans, a minority are coupes, and wagons are rare.

It’s the same with cars with a manual transmission. Enthusiasts like us do little more than talk about them on forums, and then hope to get one 3-5 years later on the used market, only to find that they are hard to find because there were more autos sold than manuals.
