Yuck. The previous model looked better. I’ve heard Honda is going to replace the V6 in the Accord with a turbo four too.

Honestly, I don’t hate that design. And I’d say it looks quite a bit better in a color that contrasts the grille:

And as far as the transmission goes, the Accord is going to have a 6-speed manual available, so who cares about the 10-speed? (or CVT? I read that it was one of those instead.)

They are, but the turbo four in question is a detuned version of the Civic Type R motor, so it ought to be pretty easy to turn an Accord into a respectably fast/fun family sedan.

Personally I think the 2014 and 2015 looks were the best.  
You can thank Ford and Kia for making those oversized intakes the new thing.
 
Also, Volvo seems to be going full electric and hybrid route from 2019 onwards.

Yeah, I’d agree that they’re probably better looking (though I prefer the 16-17 look.)

Has anyone seen 2018 Toyota Camry?  
They’ve really pimped up its appearance.

in a sedan, it isn’t even a necessity. the only people who will miss a V8 are car people and people who think they need one. in actuality, a good transmission and/or forced induction will do just as good as 8 cylinders.
 
I am all for electric cars. I applaud Ford for spending billions of dollars on development for electrification

If you’re referring to something like the Corvette Z06, do remember that the engine, the LT4, hits peak torque in the middle of the rev range, while peak horsepower is in the upper range, near the redline, so you never are “cutting your powerband”.
 
If that was the case, then why are more performance cars getting more gears?

Camry has come long way since the day it was introduced as an uninspiring bland looking but reliable family car.  
It looks very much like the current Nissan Maxima.
 
Does anyone have any idea what Genesis plans on doing in the next few years? Because I barely see anything of them, not even on the road. They currently only have two models on market which were all passed from their Hyundai brand.  
Will Genesis even last on the market as a luxury brand?
 
The environmental standards should really grant an exemption for niche performance and sports cars. After all, most pollution really actually comes from typical mainstream daily drivers and utility vehicles.

their new design theme is “Athletic Elegance” and I’m checking out their cool concept cars over here where they are showing off cars with quite interesting headlight designs (not counting the daytime running lights because every car has them now… not special at all)

They really are trying to put up this Bentley vibe. From the distance, I often mistake Genesis cars with Mazda.

I had the same thought. I wonder how hard it would be to tune the motor to Type R specs and if the transmission could handle the extra power.

Wait, you’re telling me a Camry has a red leather interior as an option? That just isn’t right. Red leather is for luxury and sports cars, not economy cars like a Camry. It’s supposed to be special.

Though I like to rag on Lexus for their atrocious grill design, their overall product is still better than Buick.

Camry is really becoming like its luxury cousin Lexus ES.
 
Lexus really messed up on the headlights for their IS cars.  
Yes, their oversized grille is really making the cars look sloppy at the front. Makes me more concerned that shit might get caught up in there more easily.

lol everything on a Mercedes S-class used to be special, too. fashion and technology eventually make their way to the economy class… plus, 1980s had red vinyl and cloth seats, so it just makes a full circle.
