how in the world is there so many adjustments in auto racing? wow, all I know is about making the flywheel lighter (joke…)

Back when I lived in Riverside, I was walking home from the trails. They got horses out there.
 
Anyway, half way down Jurupa I saw this creepy black car, just sitting there on the desert road. The rims were black, the windows were tinted. No emblems, no plates…nothing! I doubled back to inspect it, couldn’t tell what it was. When I got home and fired up PoniBooru…there it was! The same type of car, a black Ford Probe.
 
This is more of a Halloween story but it’s maddening that nobody believes it really happened.

though there are so many pictures of cars and ponies. I love ’em. would be so excited to commission an artist for a drawing of my pony with a car
 
one thing I notice is how weird it looks to see ponies drive. this artist does it nicely though  

you guys like your station wagons, right? how about a super station wagon! it was designed for rural areas as a school bus or a taxi. probably good mpg’s compared to a van

That’s funny, I’ve never seen such a big Volvo Wagon from that time period before. Thanks. I’ve seen other cars like it before but not a Volvo. Here’s a 69 Toronado, I read that cars like it were Airport Limos:
 

 
I’d guess it’s made all out of high gearing and a 455 engine and I’d guess it gets MPGs in the single digits, the Volvo you shared is probably a lot more fuel efficient.

huh I didn’t know that was a thing. I thought it was photoshop. I love that third wheel axel. that’s almost laughable, yet awesome at the same time.

I like that late 50s Chevy Limo you posted. I have no doubt they’re odd to drive. I read that new limos can go to 10 feet longer than the model they’re based on, well I guess that means this goofy thing is out of the ballpark:
 

 
Yes, that’s a helicopter landing pad on the rear end of it. The Limo’s literally 100 feet long.

You sure it was a Ford that you saw in the field? Or was it a mystery car? Was it sealed or broken in? What was in it? Was there anyone in there?

It was either a bait car or somebody used it in a crime and ditched it. And judging by the divine intervention I experienced it was probably a getaway car.
 
I’m getting chills thinking about it,  
that gleaming black paint haunts my memories.

You said you saw the car on Ponibooru. Was the image Pony related? I know PoniBooru had a problem of not cleaning off stuff unrelated to Ponies at some time.

You know, this reminds me of a similar problem that has been lingering in my city.  
In various areas of my city, there seem to be police cruisers parked at the same spot for months and even years. People have been wondering why. Several speculations include crime deterrence, quick go to cars for cops on the scene, or just that the police simply forgot about them.  
But it’s weird seeing those Crown Vics just lying on the roadsides with no one bothering to get them.

Change of subjects.  
I think the best car that would suit me is a Infiniti G37 coupe.  
It may not be a looker, uber sporty, nor high luxurious. But I’m a casual guy who would like to have the freedom of going turbo when I feel like it but also have something to daily drive without much worry of my machine breaking often.

The 2017 Mercedes E400 is the best wagon in the world. The AMG E63 S is insanely good and would be great fun to race with because no one would expect a wagon to have such obscene power, but for everyday life the E400 would be my pick.

the touchpad on the steering wheel and the dual screen setup seems very confusing, but I am glad the E-class is going beyond what the S-class did in terms of insane technology. also, the interior looks so bland in all black, the two-toned appearance looks a whole lot better.

The dual screens look very nice in person. It’s not confusing. Putting the two side by side gives a more streamlined appearance to the interior. I prefer analog gauges but with the digital gauges the layout is fully customizable.

I agree it looks nice, there’s nothing wrong with that but the interface with the touchpad on a steering wheel is kinda confusing, it takes a learning curve. But German luxury carmakers like to have lots of submenus and things.
 
I’m looking forward to the day when Google’s Assistant is integrated into a car’s touchscreen. That would be the car I’d buy
