You have to be able to use IRC, you have to be able to keep your cool when people are screaming at you, and you need to have some activity on the site we can look at to get an idea of how you interact with others.
Being previously banned isn’t a barrier for everyone - depends on what you were banned for. But there have been lots of staff who were previously banned.
And if you have any special skills or job experiences like network security or infosec or programming in Ruby or working with a data warehouse, or managing a social media site or a large page or blog, those are always good skills to have. But we’re also looking for people who are just really nice to have around, and who are active and friendly towards on the site who would be willing to donate an hour or two every few days to help others use the site.
We aren’t looking for more folks right now, but keep an eye on the Site and Policy forum.
