If the director of a really good movie, or a writer of a really good book or something, turned out to be a giant asshole or a horrible person, would that affect your enjoyment of the product they made?

When the artist of a really good drawing or animation or whatever turns out to be an asshole, it completely ruins the appeal for me, so the same would probably apply to movies too?
 
When seeing/watching something made by an unpleasant person, if you’re like me, chances are you’re going to be thinking about that person when you view their content, so any negative opinion of them is going to override anything positive about their works.
