That seems like it’d be a relatively simple site to make. You should try looking up tutorials for programming languages and frameworks (such as Python + Django, Ruby + Rails, or Node + Whiskey*) and recreating it. It could be the start of a career!

Nah. Sounds like too much hassle for me. That’s a job for somebody else who knows more than I do.

Since last night, every time I try to use the “insert image” function, it doesn’t work. Specifically, after I insert the hyperlink in the prompt that comes up, instead of formatting it like normal, it only gives me two exclamation marks with nothing in between.

Is this glitch only effecting me or is this a site wide thing? And if it’s only effecting me how do I work around it?
 
EDIT I have manged to find a work around by just typing “>>___p” and then copy pasting the id number in the hyperlink into that blank spot, but it’s still kinda annoying. If a mod could please get back to me at their earliest convenience, I would be grateful.

You should always link Derpi images using >>___p (or t or s) because it respects a user’s filters.
 
The button to embed a link doesn’t seem to be working, as you mention. You can still paste the url in the comment box and type the ! manually on either side of the link in the meantime:

Can you request for someone specific in the report to handle them?

They are handled by whoever has the time to handle them at the time.
 
If you have an issue with a staff member, Joey already asked you to email ops in this post.

Reports go into a queue, and then (with few exceptions) any mod can claim any report they want or feel like dealing with.

Uhm … you might have misunderstood my chevron - I don’t modify the site, I’m a moderator on staff, which means I moderate posts and such things. Basically, I’m a user on the site like you, but I volunteer to help people when they have questions, and sometimes volunteer to intervene when people are having trouble.
 
It’s like being a volunteer at a convention. For the most part it just means that you accept responsibility for some tasks that help keep the convention running, and you sometimes get keys to otherwise locked doors if it helps you get those things done.
 
Like keys to the liquor cabinet.

I think they are pretty swell. This site they’ve made is kind of a miracle in a lot of ways. Many others have tried to do this and failed, but The Smiling Pony and Carcer and the others in the Before Times put together something that survives.
 
Also, I don’t know how they handle all the stress this place can produce sometimes.
 
I’d probably be dead by now if I had to deal with some of the stuff they do.

Yes, I’d think so yes.

To expand on what ArmadilloEater said, for the purposes of this site, we count photography as a copyrightable artwork and people who take photographs may be tagged as an “artist”. Although this might not always be the best approach (depending on the subject of the photograph) it does help with filtering and searching. Some of the things in the photo may also have their own artist tag, for example bedrooms full of other artist’s plushies and posters.
