In all seriousness, contact the EqD editors and make them aware. Given your dA page for the vector does not indicate a license for the content they should have contacted you to ask. It’s not like it’s one vector out of hundreds in the background of a piece; it’s the main component of the banner. For them to have not checked is lazy and rude, and absolutely in violation of your copyright.

That’s mostly because we saw a few people running off to downvote everything in sight just to get bad rep. Removing the ability to see your own massively reduces the temptation, and should help stop people constantly thinking about their rep when voting.
 
As I’ve said time and time again (and in the posts etc) this is an experiment, we’re seeing how it goes! Hence a bit of tinkering is to be expected.

We’re trying to encourage users not to change their habits because of this - there’s no reason to do so, if you ask me…

This feature is not about if you’re a dick or not. The vast majority of people aren’t, which is great. This feature is about identifying people to uploaders and thus artists who are consistently negative - ie, people who never or rarely see the good in things. We want to promote a positive community, at the end of the day, and that means for artists too. At the end of the day they’re the people who make what we share! This is about making sure they can feel a bit more safe about posting artwork on the site and in trusting feedback in comments.

Indeed. We just made a tweak so that:
 
A) Unregistered users don’t see the scores, and  
B) Nobody can see their own score.
 
We hope this will help with people changing their voting patterns. Maybe not. We’ll see!

It’s a fair point. It’s interesting, from our standpoint, to see how people vote and what the dynamic is there if we change how that’s presented. Anonymity in voting is an interesting topic and perhaps one we’ll have to respect ultimately at the end of the day…

That was me breaking things because I’m terrible. Happens once in a while. Be glad I didn’t accidentally delete the entire site.

The underlying theme is that:
 
A) We don’t really know what this will do the community and how it’ll affect things - that’s why we’re trying it to see what happens! There’s no guarantee this will stay or keep its current form.
 
B) We’re always trying new things. Seriously. Derpibooru started out as an experiment - a research project, basically - into new ways to search and present images. We’re very keen to keep experimenting to see what happens.
 
C) We view net votes as an interesting data point in terms of representing overall disposition as a user towards content on the site. That’s something you can’t get from karma or similar systems that rely on users voting on users. Hence our trial.

To be clear, we’re really hoping that nobody will change how they vote as a result of this. It’s simply a way of visualizing how people vote and it’s useful for artists and uploaders to see that, not to mention the rest of the community.

We promote all voting if it is reflective of the opinion of the voter, when it comes down to it. That’s kind of the point.

It’s not flawless. Obviously there will be edge cases. We’re more interested in the general cases - those who downvote consistently content they dislike. Even in the example you give, this tends to result in more negativity than positivity, which is reflected in the colour ramp.

The idea is to provide artists with some feedback about users and their general disposition. Users who are fairly balanced in their voting are likely to make the best critics. In a community like Derpibooru, which has at best a high signal-to-noise ratio, it’s a useful way to cut through the noise.

Simply: upvotes-downvotes, if greater than zero then interpolated between 0 and the highest value of any user (’sup, Roboshi), if lower than zero then interpolated between 0 and the lowest value. There are 10 steps between each extreme and the middle.
 
To be clear: we will not tolerate abuse of this and will hand out hefty bans for people clearly voting for the sake of changing their colour.

Means you’re pretty neutral - you upvote as much as you downvote.
