I’m not as tactful as my friend here, and I’m going after the idiots who aren’t putting forth any effort. Like that one who is very late to the party, and calling a Zionist & a Jew, Neo-Nazis. That’s almost as bad as the idiot who compared us to Antifa & ISIS. It’s like half ya’ll don’t have any knowledge of history and just jump in with racists/idiotic rhetoric that is spewed by the mass media to brain wash ya’ll into hateful, lazy babies, who want hand outs & safe spaces.

I never understand why I see this flag around at all anymore, I mean beyond it’s apparent use at neo-nazi rallies. Since most countries are very upset if you hang a nazi flag up, this flag has been gaining popularity among them. Buut, that’s just a little random note. I just think of this flag the same as someone using ‘black face’ now. It’s racist and a bad reminder of past screw ups we should move past. It just seems like a desire for division and hatred when people use this flag now.

The hostility against the Confederate Flag is a fairly recent phenomenon. The Dukes of Hazzard was a tv show that spanned 7 seasons in the 1980s and explicitly had a Confederate flag on the roof of the car.
It was remade into a movie in 2005, it kept the flag.
There were even toys of it
And while we’re at it, it’s even featured in an official state flag:

Almost all civilizations have treated other humans that way. Slavery isn’t/wasn’t exclusive to just America. Hell, there is still slavery happening now. Women especially. Oh but ya’ll wanna just glaze over that right? All women should be forced to wear a burka & be a slave to her husband? But, that’s not slavery in your eyes right? Those women can leave just whenever they want and not have to worry about being beheaded, stoned or thrown in a woman’s prison. Right?

If the U.S. cedes land to them specifically for that purpose, then yeah. Might not be the brightest idea, especially if you plan on going to war with them in the near future, but yeah.

I’d just like to point out the meanings of symbols tend to change over time.
Remember that in many Asian cultures, the swastika was and still is a religious symbol.Regardless of what it may or may not have once stood for, the Confederate battle flag (or Rebel flag) is, to the vast majority of those who fly it today, a symbol of Southern pride and heritage.
