Dual stacker here. Windows for games and CAD (damnit Blender unfuck your UI), Linux for practically everything else.
‘shy doesn’t get root, though.
(And yes, of course, Derpibooru: Debian since forever. Jessie/systemd ftw /me ducks)

Rule 0. Don’t be a dick. Just filter it if you’re not going to be constructive.

If you don’t like shit, filter it. Literally why filters exist. Just hover over the + next to the sonic tag, click “Hide”.

From the stats page:
There are 892,054 non-deleted images total in our database … this net total excludes the 32,077 images that have been deleted, and the 76,198 images that have been marked as duplicates. About 31 legitimate images (including duplicates) are posted for every image we have to remove for rule violations or takedown requests.
This is the millionth (and one, if we’re being technical) image posted, but no, we don’t have a million images. Yet.

“1,000,000”?I turn off all filters and get around 110,000 less than that…

As in, people on the internet get about 1 million images an hour from our servers. That includes hotlinking, linking on the forums, browsing the site, the lot.
Lord and Saviour
What sort of images are served daily to make that? Or does that count people linking pictures in posts in comments or on the forums?

Technically speaking we’ve served a heck of a lot more than 1 million images :p on average we serve about that many an hour.

It’s a reference to the Stand Alone Complex episode “Escape From”, in which a Tachikoma discovers a cyberbrain which has been converted by the artist who occupied it into a cinema. Most people who dive into it (such as the cyberbrain tech and, for a while, Kusanagi) are so taken with the film shown within that they decide never to leave. The guy with the hat next to Pinkie is the artist.

Is that Magma Leader Maxie in the front row?Looks more like one of the techs from GitS:SAC. Clearly, they are watching a certain soliloquiy about tears in rain.

Yeah, ImageMagick is where the ‘bug’ is, if you like, afaict, or rather your usage; try adding +repage after your resize code to instruct ImageMagick to remove the canvas area it cropped. Our handling does appear to drop the canvas hints, which it probably shouldn’t; canvas vs image size is a kinda dodgy area though.

@BigMax
Yeah, that seems to be it. I use ImageMagick to animate these, and it seems it didn’t optimize away parts of the image I never intended to render. If opened in GIMP the parts of the citation that are outside the gifs borders still exist.

Hey there.
It hasn’t been fixed because it’s not, as TSP said, a bug in our code - it’s imagemagick’s treatment of the embedded metadata in the image. We’ve got a workaround but the workaround actually causes more problems than it fixes, and we’ve not had the dev time to look at it. It’s not a simple bug, sadly!

We don’t muck around with GETs. Seriously, we don’t have time. Our mods are ever-watchful, though, and totally try and snipe ’em for fun. But no shenanigans.
Good GET, though.

Not the current one, but one of the prototypes I was kicking around. Didn’t work out in the end but something like it will probably form the basis for the next one.

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for comments with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, comments containing the words winged humanization
, wings
, and spread wings
would all be found by a search for wing
, but sewing
would not be.
