MLP's 35th Anniversary Art Event

Me brain real good.

I don’t know why this seems to be so difficult to grasp.
 
- Draw a character from G4 meeting a character from past generation.
 
- You have two weeks (Wed 24th) to do it
 
Though I think some people are caught up with attempting to do the 8 year celebration to get the badge instead, which is a 72 hour deadline.
 
The only question I see is if OCs count, but I’d wager not.

Well, it’d be better that we used canon characters, but if you wanna use a OC, go for it.

Would a previous gen character made into g4 style meeting a g4 character count?

Well, looks like it’s time again for my trusty (digital) anniversary crayons! (I just made that up.)  
This year, good old Surprise joins Pinkie in baking the cake.  

 
So the FiM birthday event falls together with this one? Or are there separate birthday and anniversary badges? Though I guess most submissions qualify for both events, anyway.

There can’t be a 2 week deadline & a 72 hour deadline for the same thing.  
Unless there’s a separate contest that awards the same badge.  
If so, then what’s this 72 hour contest?
 
Also, editing screencaps of the old and new show together probably doesn’t count, right?

Right, even though it’s not really the 35th anniversary I might make something anyway.

I think what the original post was supposed to mean this:
 
You get the badge if you post an image celebrating the 35th anniversary of MLP within two weeks.
 
But if you make a ic celebrating the 8th anniversary of MLP FIM within the next 48 hours, you also get the badge

The thing is, people who drew for the 8th FiM anniversary before the announcement of the event still get to claim their badges, we have had a couple uploads in this window of 48hours before the event got announced.
 
The event though is still just ‘one’ for one single badge.
