MadMax was before my time looking into these things, but I don’t recall her saying anything about it.
I vaguely recall Ambris just not liking people claiming the edits were original work.
As for Junglepony, they were never very talkative to begin with.

DA’s “base” culture is terrible; the people that shittily trace up the “base” almost never credit the original artists, and almost always demand anyone using the “base” credit them for it. Plus so many that either never mention they just edited/traced something, or they claim “I found it on google images so it’s fine to use”.

Yeh, see shitloads of edits of it with OCs, only a tiny amount ever uploaded here. Same as Ambris’ hoodie Lyra, >>318560 or MadMax’ hug >>15696 (not even sure that’s the original, it’s been edited so many times).

I don’t know about y’all, but FanFicFanPony was pretty sweet. She had really improved on her style from the first time I saw it, and as cracked as some of her ships were she made them work.

I miss explosivegent. There’s really not much of a chance they will return (stopped posting around 2012 and not a single picture afterwards) but their style is beautiful and the time off series I consider one of the lost masterpieces of the pony art. Amazing characterization without a single word.
Pinkie’s comic has a special place in my heart. I keep returning to it from time to time, usually in my darker moments, to remind myself of something special that hooked me many years ago, when I only recently found out about FiM. That feeling of ‘magic’ has largely gone away. Ponies are just a habit of mine now.

Oh man this had happened with a certain artist I really liked that wasn’t a brony. Deactivated their DA account twice and deleted all of their old art….
Back on topic. I miss marcusmaximus’s art. He created some of the best and most innocent Fluffy Pony art.
And not only that, he also created some great mlp fan games.
