Yeah, as much as I love MLP, there are other things aside from MLP that I take interest in.

So mindo if I ask y’all for critique?I was just practicing some facial expressions here using some different angles and expressions. I want to try to improve in them, and any critique would be helpful. ^^

So I did the Fanart Mashup Challenge just in time. My prompt was: Pink Panther, In Bikini Bottom, Accepting an award.  
It’s not bad, the sand could be better, but it feels good to draw something non-pony (and I’ll get that DA badge).

“Whitewashed” effect?

Question to anyone who has a tumblr!!: My tumblr used to be an ask blog, then i stopped, now i want to start up again. But my blog is now full of non ask blog related posts.  
i’m wondering if anyone here also has an ask blog, and in your opinion would it make more sense to try and dump the misc stuff into a sideblog? I don’t want to like…delete and reupload everything.
 
Or any other way to get my blog organized.

Might consider something for Halloween. Now I’ve gotten stabilized (got rid of a long overdue request which, to be honest, I didn’t want to draw), I can get back to drawing stuff I enjoy doing.
 
Now, do I just draw a pony in a Nightmare Night costume….
 
Or do I draw the “Nightmare Chrysalis” which is a big part of my 40k crossover comic “The Staff Of Aurelian”?
 
Bit of a spoiler here but not many people are actually following that story closely enough. That Warhound Twilight brings down in the latest couple of pages >>1509363 and >>1535293 turns out to be Daemonically possessed.
 
by the same Daemon that turned Princess Luna in to Nightmare Moon.
 
Needless to say, this Daemon is a bit annoyed, and ends up taking control of Queen Chrysalis in order to exact revenge on the Mane 6 and their friends.
 
The story is set in the middle of season 4. The elements of harmony are bound to the tree of harmony, the Mane 6 don’t have Rainbow Power yet, and Princess Cadance and Shining Armour are not available.  
So, stay tuned to find out how the ponies are going to get out of this!

Pfft. You don’t need excuses. Almost anytime is good to do the grim ’n gross stuff. I can PM ya some resources and music help give you some inspiration if ya want.

I quite like grimdark stuff, I guess I just don’t have as big a drive to create it. Though if you do have some inspiration stuffs that’d be nice to see.

It’s that time of year again. Last year, I drew Octavia dressed as Octave, a Monster-of-the-Day from Sailor Moon and uploaded it to the booru with somewhat mixed results. I’d like to do a sequel but this time with Vinyl joining her and getting in on the Daimon action. I want to do something Grim, Spooky, or even Monster related for this month, but I don’t want to push the projects I had already planned anymore further. So I’ll try to finish what I can, and post something after.

Everything in your picture is bright, and that little bit of shadow doesn’t cut it for the necessary contrast for things to pop. For that picture specifically, you have to make either Fluttershy or the walls around her darker.
