Sometimes that’ll happen, but I’d give it some time for people to respond. Your Luna images usually get some decent scores, so it’ll shoot up sooner or later.

Yeah it stinks when you put so much effort into something and it does not do as well as you think it will.Honestly just keep pushing forward and remember do it for you before you do it for someone else and if they find it good or funny then hey bonus.Then again I do this as a hobby and this probably wouldn’t apply to artist that do this as a job or commissions……motivational speech.

Also, the time of day you upload can affect the score on an image. If it’s a quiet time, it’ll not get seen by as many users.
 
I know it can be disheartening when something you’ve put a lot of effort in to gets a lower than expected score here, but don’t let that put you off.  
(Just look at that crossover comic I’m doing. 8-10 hours work per page at least, and they’re barely in double figures. Of course, my daughter keeps asking me to get on with it).
 
Usually cute stuff is a pretty safe bet if you’re after a reasonable score, since that’s what draws most of us to the show in the first place.  
That or something funny, although that’s a little more risky.
 
Some nice work on the details there. Lot of work in the eyes I’m guessing.

I’m getting closer to that Maud badge (I’ve got a quarter left to go). I’m thinking of trying to reach my 100th image before a certain day, and I’ve got an idea of what my 100th image should be.

As for badge progress, i’m creeping ever towards Octavia myself. As long as i keep up the regular uploads, i should reach it before too long. :V

I’m a fair way off my next milestone badge (Pinkie for 500) but I think I’ll make it eventually.

I used to have conversations with a couple of other artists on their upload comments, suggesting ideas, giving advice, (basically what everyone is doing here), and a mod said, “take it to the forums”. So, I did.
 
It’s been a great thread, made so by all you guys and gals. This site wouldn’t be the same without the social side. Been a lot of good ideas and helpful advice here, and long may it continue.

Question to you all what does your derpibooru background look like, I have the dark one.

I just use the default. Not that I hate the dark theme, but default looks natural to me.

Agreed on her being harder to draw. Her face is a different shape to the rest of the characters (longer muzzle), and that threw me a bit when I drew her on my crossover comic.
 
And I had to draw her face quite a few times for that.  
Got the hang of it after a few iffy scenes where I drew her snout waaay too long.
