Not fully sure why myself, but I’d avoid shipping with Dash. Easy route to a ton of downvotes.

I never minded Sonic stuff myself (mainly because I used to be in the fandom), though I do see your point.
 
Is Sonic/RD an unpopular ship or something? I didn’t even know that was a thing that existed.

I think it was from a lot of really bad intentional troll art being spammed a long time ago that soured a lot of people on it :/

I usually just use the score as a guide to whether I’m doing the right thing by the fandom. Up to press I’ve not done badly at all, but not really got a huge response either way aside from a few notable exceptions, (one of which I was lucky enough to have featured).

Yeah my scores end to not get very high, so I get excited by a 30 and a 50 is like amazing to me. My porn does slightly better.

I like to consider one of my drawings successful if it breaks the 3 figure mark, (100+).
 
I’d need to check but I think I have around 34 that have managed it.
 
Only 2 have ever broken the 200 level, and one of those was that featured pic with Fluttershy, Marble Pie and Coco Pommel.  
The other was a Fluttershy pic where she’d knocked a plant over and was looking up at the viewer with a real puppy dog look.

34? Jeez, that’s crazy impressive. I never got much higher than 100 like maybe just a few times, and all like canon stuff, which I don’t prefer to do.

I have nineteen at 100 or higher, all but one are canon characters, and the one that isn’t is an edit by someone else (and explicit), and one of the canon is a trace of someone else’s artwork, so I’ll count it at 17 for real.
 
Looking at score also taught me that my highest rated non-edit porn is fairly recent too. Huh.

Any tips on creating an MLP OC? I may have an idea for one.

Make it emo.
 
Just start with a basic idea and work from there on what would make sense for them. Like, think of a gender, race/species, base color, skill, in any order, and connect them together. Design elements and details can go from there.

Nah, I already have one emo character and wouldn’t want to create another for fear that people will think I’m just copy-pasting the same character. :P

Meanwhile, I’ve started a new drawing of her and her friend Sabrina, and I’ve begun sketching concepts for my pony OC. So that’s fun.

 
She gets along better with the Diamond dogs than Rarity does.
