[SFW] Artist's Group Chat

Thinking on making my own MLP series that’s not connected to FiM. It won’t take place in Equestria, and instead it’ll be a different universe.

I’d say go for it, but it may not be to everyone’s taste.
 
As long as you try to keep with the base ideas that made MLP so popular then you should be okay.
 
(Cute character designs, characters with quirky personalities, each has a flaw of some sort (avoid true Mary Sue all powerful characters), and a sense of adventure).
 
Try to maintain those guidelines and you should have a fairly good base to work with.
 
Final point, try not to add too many main characters. More than a dozen or so, and readers may struggle to keep track of what is going on.

Tbh mine is. I say it’s ‘in the future’ and that everything that happened in FiM (and EQG) happened in the past in one way or another, but it’s just as a backdrop really.

Well, in order to satisfy both the collab requirements and the request for a new villain pic there, I’ll see if I can draw Grogar.

I made this sticker a day or 2 okay. It’s basically an IRL version of the “Murfy Stamps” from Rayman 3.

I used Micron and Sharpie for the lineart (sharpie for filling in the thicker areas since microns are quite small), Raffiné colored pencils for the coloring (aside from the freckles which were made with a prismacolor marker), and the gold tooth and sparkles were colored in with some glitter gel pens I have. Turns out they layered really well, so the shading on that one tooth was easy as can be.
 
I drew it on an index card and used some normal tape and wax paper to finish it off. It was also my first time using my brand new exacto knife I got from Walmart. :>

Just finished watching two movies with my kids.
 
Back to the Future, and Spaceballs.
 
So, might do some crossover artwork from one of those soon.

Not fully decided what I might draw, but probably just ponify a scene.
 
That and my 40k crossover comic has a rather blatant reference to it on the page I’m doing.
