Have you tried downloading the latest stable Nvidia driver directly from Nvidia? (not from the Microsoft updates thing?)  
Do a full uninstall of your existing driver? 
And then do a clean full install of the driver from Nvidia.com? 
The only other thing that I can think of is the game files in your Steam library are messed up.  
I believe you can go to the games properties and go to local files and verify integrity of game files.  
Or it sounds like you have already tried reinstalling the game already…

All I know is that it played fine when I had my 750 and then when I upgraded to 950 it stopped working. Oh well, guess I don’t get to experience the mixed bag or the straight downgrade :V I’ll just have to stick with the original. (274 hours so far. Plus it’s the only one I actually played with friends.)

It could have something to do with a shared file that both games need, but while uninstalling and reinstalling, neither game wants to touch “its already there, and another game might need it, so I’ll leave it alone.” 
But in reality the file itself is corrupt.  
Kind of like reinstalling your Nvidia drivers, but you have the option of using the clean install, that will force the nvidia driver to replace All of the files it uses, not just the core driver files.

I preferred the original, but I wish I could replay the sequel. But for no apparent reason, the game and the Pre-Sequel both crash my PC when I try to launch them. (Literally no other games do, they still do it after uninstalling and reinstalling, and I have an Nvidia GTX950, so it makes even less sense.)

Hehe, I just had a crazy idea when thinking of the wild possibilities involving whoever Scootamom is, the upcoming episode involves Pinkie Pie keeping a secret from Princess Cadance and Shining Armor hidden from everyone else.  
What if that secret involves Scootaloos parents making a surprise visit in Ponyville?  
It’s a long stretch, and it’s out of the blue, but with out knowing any details of what the actual plot, anything is possible, right? :p

Alot of people have fallen for the world presented in the show as some sort of paradise, where everyday is perfect and everyone gets along.  
While others find happiness in analyzing the flaws or imperfections in the show when ever they come up.  
I’ve said it before when people talk about Applejacks or Scootaloos parents.  
It doesn’t matter to me if they are alive or not, all I care about is that they make up their mind as to what their status is and present it as show canon.  
For Applejacks parents they are making slow steady progress.  
For Scootaloos parents…. All we have seen so far is that she has her own bedroom….  
Come on people! You can’t avoid addressing who the heck she lives with! Someone has to provide for her! Who’s place is that she lives in? It has to belong to someone!  
If they never state how she came into the world, I’m just going to keep on going with my head canon that she is really Princess Celestias daughter being raised in Ponyville to avoid that “omg I’m the daughter of the most important princess ever! Bask I’m my super important status and privilege!”  
That’s my head canon and I’m sticking with it until the show says otherwise! :p

That sentence sounds like they are at least missing. So if that happens that will be a happy surprise for the Apple family. Maybe.
 
But that would be a big mistake because the life does not work that way. Bad things happen and often it is impossible to patch them.

That really could also be taken as that it doesn’t answer how they died or what exactly happened to them. Or he could just be screwing with the fanbase which is also highly possible.
