I meant more along the lines of “lemon” and “zest” being roughly synonymous with “sour” and “sweet” respectively.

Lemon zest is the scraping or cutting of lemon skin, an ingredient used in cooking for decoration or flavoring.

Sour sweet means, among other things, a sauce (sweet & sour technically) and a 1982 novel.
